This year I turned 35 years old, yesterday to be exact. It was a nice and quite day with family, but it will be one of the most memorable birthdays to date because now, I have someone to share my special day with, Mr. Ocean Nikko Macias. This beautiful baby boy was born on the eve of my birthday. I was asked to photograph his birth after we found out the Macias family was expecting baby number two and since we captured Miss Nova Mae, their first baby, we definitely had to capture this joyous moment too. It happened so fast that it pretty much caught us all by surprise. Luckily I made it to them about hour before he arrived. Right on time!

Christina & Rudy have given me the opportunity to witness the miracle of life, not once but twice. There is nothing more spectacular than watching a baby take it’s first breath. It is life changing in the best way possible and although I was extremely nervous both times, I never let that stop me from having these unique experiences. I feel thankful for all the years that have passed and look forward to the years to come. I thank the Macias family for giving me a little buddy to celebrate life with. I thank all my friends and family for the time they spent with me and for wishing me a happy 35th birthday. Cheers to another year and living life to the fullest!
