College Week, a week where our beautiful city proudly encourages, promotes, and celebrates our college town and the students who, currently attend, and plan to attend in the future. It was at this very event, in 2014, that First lady Michelle Obama, launched her Reach Higher initiative to encourage thinking and reaching higher, even beyond a college level. Year after year our counsel men and women, and our city Mayors come and pledge their support to the students, encouraging them to always reach higher.

This is one of my favorite events and I am honored to have had the opportunity to document it for the past 5 years! Destination College crew, y’all rock! Thank you for showing the youth of our city that there is a support system to help them be successful. Reaching higher is the only way to achieve your goals and knowing there are people behind you, encouraging and building you up, make it that much easier to accomplish your dreams! To another year of learning, achieving and of course, having fun doing it!!!
