World Photo Day

A Photograph is a captured moment. One that can be put on paper and cherished for years. It’s hard to imagine what a world without photographs would look like. These days, It’s second nature to reach for our phones or cameras, to grab a quick photo of our child’s first time eating spaghetti or our dog and cats chasing their tails. Over time, memories can fade but through photography we can keep those memories alive! THIS, is why I love photography.

On this 177th year of photography I’m excited to share these photos we captured last month on our camping trip. Our awesome group of traveling buddies tries to plan road trips often, because we love getting out into nature, plus, it’s the perfect way to recharge and get inspired. On this trip we camped in the pine forests of Tyler State park. The sunsets by the river were beautiful. One night we decided to take advantage of the of the sunset and have a photo shoot. We walked through the forest, felt the dirt on our skin and dipped into the river to watch the warm orange tones slowly start to change as the sun reached the horizon. I watched the colors change through my lens as Lucy and I interacted with the earth around us. Every moment we captured is one that can now live on and be shared forever.

Today I hope you all will pick up your cameras and go out for an adventure. “Sometimes you will never know the true value of a moment until it becomes a memory”. Live life to the fullest and don’t take anything for granted!!!! Happy World Photo Day everyone!
